Principal Message

I am absolutely thrilled to welcome all of our Faria Falcons back for another fantastic school year! Since my time at Faria began, our focus has been on maintaining academic excellence, ensuring every student feels a deep sense of belonging, and fostering the traits found in CUSD’s Portrait of a Learner. Above all, we remain grounded in our core expectations: Take Care of Yourself, Take Care of Each Other, and Take Care of this Place. Our students have consistently embraced these values, ensuring Faria continues to be a vibrant place to grow and learn.

As we look ahead to the 2026-2027 school year, we are eager to build upon this strong foundation. We continue to prioritize the Portrait of a Learner, with a special emphasis on two vital competencies:

• Global Contributor: Encouraging our Falcons to look beyond themselves, appreciate diverse perspectives, and understand the positive impact they can have on the world.
• Resilient Learner: Teaching our students to embrace challenges, learn from setbacks, and view mistakes as essential, valuable steps in the learning process.

I am a strong believer that the elementary years are the most crucial time for building a lifelong love of learning. My personal mission is to help our students develop excellent intellect and character, while providing a welcoming environment that celebrates the unique joy of childhood. By combining our foundational Faria philosophy with the Portrait of a Learner competencies, we are equipping our students with the character and intellect needed to navigate the future.

As the saying goes, “it takes a village to raise a child,” and preparing our students to be future-ready requires a true partnership between school, home, and our wider community. We warmly encourage you to join us in this effort.
